Operation

The design of TITAN TRACKER allows for complete dual-axis tracking, from 10º (flat-plate) and from 1º (concentrating) in the elevation range. In this way, it is possible to fully exploit direct radiation even under low incidence angles (at dusk, at dawn or in winter) with performance of up to 45% more than fixed systems in 40 degrees latitude (Spain).

The driving system is totally electric (no hydraulics) and runs only by means of electrical motor gears, using pinion-toothed wheels (azimuth) and pinion-toothed wheels with spindle (elevation) Typical problems of hydraulic components such as low pressure, oil loss, element replacement, and the negative effect of low temperatures can thus be avoided.

TITAN TRACKER has developed specific software which allows user-friendly access for modification of the main parameters, such as, amongst others, the maximum tracking error.
